APR is pleased to present the ultimate engine control unit (ECU) upgrade for the 3.0 TFSI!

APR’s ECU Upgrades are the best value modification one can make to the 3.0T engine. The upgrades dramatically increase horsepower and torque, making for an exceptionally quicker and more exciting vehicle. This is made possible through APR’s optimization of the factory engine management system to take full advantage of the engine’s capabilities, without needing any end user adjustment. The software loads to the factory ECU through the OBD-II port, resulting in a clean and headache-free install.

APR ECU Upgrade Stages

APR’s ECU Upgrades are available in multiple stages, supporting various octanes both with or without any hardware modifications. Specific software is available for use with APR's Supercharger Drive and Crank Pulley upgrades, as well as APR's Ultracharger Throttle Body upgrade, while all stages are fully compatible with an upgraded Intake System, exhaust systems, APR Supercharger Cooling System or other minor bolt on modifications.

APR Stage I ECU Upgrade

The APR Stage I ECU Upgrade is the first step towards making more power! This simple upgrade requires no engine hardware modifications, and produces 447-478 HP with 379-399 FT-LBS of torque. Gains as high as 110-137 HP and 89-110 FT-LBS of torque are available throughout the power band, making the vehicle exceptionally quicker in all scenarios. To get more power, the vehicle can be outfitted with an upgraded Intake System, exhaust systems, APR Supercharger Cooling System and other small modifications without requiring any new modification to the ECU. 

For the next step in incresed power, APR Stage II ECU Upgrade is available for use with APR's Supercharger Drive and Crank Pulley upgrades.

APR Stage II Single Pulley ECU Upgrade

The APR Stage II Single Pulley ECU Upgrade is the next step towards making more power. This stage is designed for use with only an APR Supercharger Drive Pulley upgrade. This stage is compatible with an upgraded Intake System, exhaust systems, APR Supercharger Cooling System and other small modifications, all without requiring any further modification to the ECU. With APR's Supercharger Drive Pulley upgrade, the engine produces 467-500 HP with 398-423 FT-LBS of torque. Gains as high as 131-161 HP and 106-130 FT-LBS of torque are available throughout the power band.

An APR Supercharger Cooling System is highly recommended and may be required to meet the advertised power figures. The software was designed for use with NGK Iridium IX BKR9EIX spark plugs. Please note, transmission software is required to achieve power figures past the factory redline.

APR Stage II Dual Pulley ECU Upgrade

The APR Stage II Dual Pulley ECU Upgrade is the next step towards making more torque. This stage was designed for use with the APR Supercharger Drive Pulley upgrade and APR Supercharger Crank Pulley. This stage is compatible with an upgraded Intake System, exhaust systems, APR Supercharger Cooling System and other small modifications, all without requiring any further modification to the ECU. The dual pulley upgrade produces 435-517 HP and 409-467 FT-LBS of torque. Gains as high as 112-189 HP and 90-153 FT-LBS are available throughout the power band. For those looking for even more power, the APR Stage II+ Ultra ECU Upgrade is avaialble for use with APR's Ultracharger Throttle Body, unlocking the full potential of the factory supercharger system!

APR Stage II+ Ultra ECU Upgrade

Representing the ultimate upgrade for the 3.0 TFSI, APR’s Stage II+ Ultracharger Software is for use with APR's Ultracharger Throttle Body and APR's Supercharger Drive and Crank Pulley upgrades. This stage is compatible with an upgraded APR Intake System, exhaust systems, APR Supercharger Cooling System, and other small modifications, all without requiring any further modification to the ECU.

The system produces an astonishing 473-533 HP with 423-467 FT-LBS of torque. Gains as high as 143-197 HP and 116-159 FT-LBS of torque are available throughout the power band. The software was designed for use with the Ultracharger’s included NGK Iridium IX BKR9EIX spark plugs and an upgraded APR Supercharger Cooling System. IAT’s must be below 75c to achieve the advertised power figures. An Intake System is highly recommended and required to meet the advertised power figures. Finally, at these power levels, APR does not recommend use of the factory catalyst. Please note, transmission software is required to achieve power figures past the factory redline.

- Never use lower octane than specified by the mode.
- Reported wheel figures measured on APR's in house Dynapack Dynamometer with a US Spec C7 S7 (CREC), using SAEJ1349 correction and an average of multiple runs. Crank figures are estimated based on the measured wheel figures. Results may vary depending upon environmental conditions, vehicle, transmission, vehicle health, operating conditions, temperatures, fuel grade, dyno type, dyno setup, other variables and other modifications. For the best results, APR recommends removing the intake snow screen.
